Odyssey

As we stray away from
our predestination,
Our minds are torn
By an infatuation
To fulfill these plights.
To the center of self we set sail [x2]
Embarking on a journey
to the center of self
We set sail
In search of a better understanding
of our true nature of existence
Beings of light disguised by
A mask of skin and bone
Making our way through
The trials of time
We are not alone

All that has come to pass,
All the events that have shaped my path
Have led me to this moment.
Decisive instant determining energy I have spent.
What have I done to improve this life?
To grow as a person?
Have I already failed,
To become the man I was meant to be?
Will I hold on tightly, or let it slip
through the gaps between my fingers?
Based on the strength of my grip
The possibility of failure lingers
If I should fall or I trip
Will I hold on tightly, or let it slip
through the gaps between my fingers?
based on the strength of my grip
All that has come to pass,
All the events that have shaped my path
Have led me to this moment.
Decisive instant determining energy I have spent.
What have I done to improve this life?
To grow as a person? Have I already failed
To become the man I was meant to be
and escape the cage of this mentality

Thralldom
04:49
|
|||
We are truly blind when we fail to see the monster
We have created.
What was built to serve us now imprisons millions.
Day by day, false justice served.
Harmless people caged for the monetary gain of the state.
They become the thing we hate.
Gentle people locked away, slowly gaining the traits
that would make them deserve this place
.
This life is mine, and I'll not be
defined by suffering.
I don't belong to you, or this, or anything.
You can't take my life away.
The longer we live in fear and denial,
The further we stray from true freedom.
Liberty slowly slipping from our grip.
Forcible detention
Will never be a solution
To the problems that we face as a growing world.
Point the finger at human nature,
So we can ignore the social factors of society
that made man this way.
This life is mine, and I'll not be
defined by suffering.
I don't belong to you, or this, or anything.
You can't take my life away.
This life is mine. I'll not be defined by my suffering.

Deliverance
04:28
|

I release you,
Boundless weight I have bared
for many years.
I'll not be weighed down
for another moment.
This life is mine and I'll not be
defined by suffering,
So I take this slumber.
Touched by the most profound awareness.
A wave of guiding light
warms my cold heart for a moment.
And I am left with a blurred memory of clarity.
The answers are here
But so is my pain.
Understanding was never enough.
Seek alignment
Brave the elements
Push forth
Push forth toward the setting sun to define yourself, chase down the horizon.

Bound By Moonlight
07:35
|
|||
Awakened by the wind
To see a beam of light
The first to grace the earth
Illuminates the night
I cannot believe that after everything I've seen and done
trying to stand my ground, it's time now to leave. [x2]
this place for good.
I rise to my feet and begin my descent
Across a treacherous plain,
To create a change in me of which I never can return
Deprivation taking hold of every fiber in me,
Am I becoming the wolf or is the wolf becoming me?
Will I carve a path to the sea?
Awakened by the wind
To see a beam of light
The first to grace the earth
Illuminates the night
I cannot believe that after everything I've seen and done
trying to stand my ground, it's time now to leave. [x2]
this place for good.
Aided now by years remembered,
The past unaltered now returns to me.
And in this moment I am bound by the moon.
It calls my name.
And I push forth
[x2]
Awakened by the wind
To see a beam of light
The first to grace the earth
Illuminates the night
I cannot believe that after everything I've seen and done
trying to stand my ground, it's time now to leave.[x2]
this place for good.
I rise to my feet and begin my descent
Across a treacherous plain,
To create a change
in me from which I cannot return.
Deprivation taking hold of every fiber.
Am I becoming the wolf,
or is the wolf becoming me?
Will I carve a path to the sea?
